MMD Design Team Visits Langston Project Site

Members of the MMD design team, including Michael Marshall, Eman Elnorag and Alex Cruz did not let the summer heat wave deter an important site visit to The Langston, located on 7th Street, NW in the District of Columbia, a project nearing completion in DC’s Shaw neighborhood.

This new 380,000 SF multifamily building is a 204-unit mixed-use development with 13,835 SF of ground-floor retail located in the heart of Shaw. The Shaw/Howard Metro is located directly across the street, providing heavy foot traffic with high visibility. Shaw is well known as a vibrant neighborhood filled with world- class entertainment featuring the famed concert hall 9:30 Club and the Howard Theater, flagship fashion stores, and scores of prominent restaurants, making it a destination for nightlife, shopping, and dining.

MMD is part of the design team as Associate Architect, with Cooper Cary. The development team is Quadrangle and Capstone Development; HITT Contracting rounds out the team as the General Contractor and SK&A as Structural Engineers. The project is scheduled for completion by the end of 2024.
